Day 3

I know for some of you this may be irrelevant, because this is something you should definitely know before start painting, but me with my self-taught skills, just figured it out (pretty late, I know):
it’s a huge difference between studying a photo by mindlessly copying what you see, without thinking about it, and studying the shape, trying to understand why you see it that way, how does the light interact with the subject (light is the one thing that makes our eyes “read” objects) and finally break it into simple shapes, to understand its construction. You’ll soon realize how amazing this is.

So let me ask you one thing: do you understand what you’re drawing?
